As mentioned, I was working on a Star Wars-themed poster, and here's the result:
And an alternative version with a real-world font:
Also, I have dug myself out of my rut... THIS WAS MADE PRIMARILY IN ILLUSTRATOR!! I'm figuring it out!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!

Yay inspiration
I've been browsing around for some art and artists to inspire me out of this creative rut I've been in, and in doing so found this:

Eric Tan is an artist for Disney who does these awesome, retro-stylized posters for Pixar movies like The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Wall-E, check out some of his stuff:
Seriously, how cool is that?
Also, I'm currently working on a Star Wars themed-poster, and even made my own 3D model of a stormtrooper to use, check it out:

I just realized...
I didn't really learn anything in art school. I didn't learn anything about color theory, or composition, or how to express myself, or anything along those lines. I realized that this afternoon as I was using Illustrator (a program which I honestly have no right putting on my resume... I have no idea what the hell I'm doing with it), and was having a hard time setting up the composition that I wanted and thought "shouldn't I have learned this in... I dunno... ART SCHOOL??" The more I look at the diploma on my wall, the more I realize that it's just a piece of paper and that in the 3 years I was at the UT art school, I didn't really learn anything that I couldn't have figured out on my own that's relevant to what I do/what I want to do.

A friend of mine is published!
A good friend of mine, Matt Frank, is having his first fully drawn comic published and released in January, Wrath of the Titans: Cyclops, by Bluewater Productions. Check out the preview!

He also did the cover for Back to Mysterious Island, also by Bluewater.

Big News!
It's been a while. So here's the deal! I redesigned my website again, so it looks a lot more slick and professional now, let me know what you all think!
Also! I recently completed animating a commercial for a local toy store, check it out:
Note: All I did was the animation. I didn't do the audio and the captions were most certainly NOT my idea.
And I know it's a couple weeks late, but I had to make this:
Yes we did.
